Artist's Psychobabble - take with a grain of salt. Form your own impressions.

This little bottle was an exercise in covering objects and working with translucent and metallic clays. The main body is Fimo Art Translucent 00 mixed with a little violet clay. Notice the mottled look ("plaquing" from the Art Translucent). The star on top and the shoulder and bottom of the bottle are Premo metallic Gold. If you look carefully at the detail you can see what appears to be a textured wavy line - that actually is "ghost mica" effect from rolling the mica clay and then impressing it; it actually has been sanded smooth. The medallion with the "I-Love-You" hand and heart is an example of millefiore. The design was pieced together as a disk a few inches wide, then reduced and rolled into a long "snake" about an inch in circumference, which was cut into slices. One of the reduced slices was applied to the bottle. The entire piece was then baked, sanded smooth, and coated with polyurenthane finish.
