"Deafinitely goes into the De'VIA category!" - Dr. DonG.

Artist's Psychobabble - take with a grain of salt. Form your own impressions.

I found a bunch of unwanted children's "board books" (the pages are made of thick cardboard) in a remainder book store, and attracted by the hand shapes, bought several of them. Now, instead of possibly being tossed in a landfill or pulped if left unbought too long, they face the future of new life as "art". This is my first altered board book. If you use a board book with glossy pages like I did, please be advised that you will probably need to sandpaper the pages a little to give them a "tooth" that will hold on to the coats of primer (such as acrylic matte medium) before you can start painting and stamping. You can cut through the thick pages, but you will probably have to do it a page at a time, and make sure you use a sharp knife!
