The fourth chakra, Anahata, is at the center of the chakra system. It is located in the area of the heart and associated with love, relationships, and compassion. The element for this chakra is air, the lightest of the material elements. It acts as a bridge between the more physical lower chakras and the more spiritual upper chakras.
Cool, harmonious green is the color of the fourth chakra. The theme of this chakra is emphasized with magazine cuttings of roses and heart die-cuts, symbols of love. A "love" background stamp forms a repeating pattern in red on the right side. Rubber stamps of a heart-shaped earth and an anatomically correct heart, colored with pencils, bracket the left-hand window showing aspects of the previous chakras and admitting the yellow glow of the previous one. The light blue of the next chakra beckons at the edges of the right hand.
